This series of photographs taken between January 2008 and March 2009 bring together the two sides of a page using materiality and light. I like to find the places of overlap which naturally occur and produces strange results. Fashion photography offers a particularly surreal and beautiful palette to choose from. The dramatic lighting plays into the lighting that I am adding to the photograph putting the images in dialogue with each other and also referencing a history of portraiture.
