A pull-string bounces over and over as if being tugged on and off. The simple pull string references attics, basements, luminescence and progress opening up the ideas around and relationship with this simple utilitarian object.

Double Dutch
Double Dutch, 20104x10x5 feetsteel, plexi gears, drill motor, jump ropes and handles A large kinetic sculpture with two ten foot jump ropes spun egg beater style. Absence and presence are found in the spherical space defined by the spinning ropes as well as the vacant positions of play.

Rinse and Repeat
A nine minute performance on a small wooden platform. I bow down, insert a drinking straw into a removed knot in one of the planks and begin exhaling into the straw. A minute later soap bubbles push through the cracks and cover my face making it increasingly difficult to inhale.
